SKODA OCTAVIA training with 3D projection mapping by Dancing Bear Productions - creative, mobile, online experience!
For the product training of the new ŠKODA OCTAVIA, we were commissioned by the agency LMC to conceptualize and realize a multi-level projection mapping show.
This was a comprehensive in-house production by Dancing Bear – covering the creative concept, media production, choreography, and stage direction. In addition to large-scale mapping on the building façade and the vehicle itself, we introduced a custom-built, oversized Magic Folding Cube – a mobile and foldable projection element fully integrated into the performance design, adding a dynamic spatial layer to the overall staging.
To create a sense of scale and spatial depth with only four live performers, we recorded targeted green screen sequences during rehearsals. These recordings were later mirrored, multiplied, and animated within the media content, generating the illusion of a significantly larger ensemble.
Seven high-performance projectors were used in sync to precisely control the 3D mapping across the architecture, the vehicle, and the cube structure.
Originally designed as a live show, the format had to be adapted at short notice due to pandemic-related restrictions. Working closely with the client and an experienced film production team, we created a digital version of the show, which now runs on ŠKODA’s internal training platform.
